Hi
everyone! The place I would like to visit the most in the world is Brazil.
Brazil is a country in South America where they speak Portuguese, they have
varied dances, such as capoeira or samba, which makes it a very attractive
country in the eyes of tourists. I like Brazil because have one of the largest
natural reserves in the world, call Amazonas. This country has an awesome
nature, places that haven’t yet been explored by humans, beaches that have many
colors and animal life. The weather in Brazil is perfect, because I love the
hot. Although they have a high inequality, I think that if I visit, there would
be no problem to me, because I will visit Brazil for his beautiful places in
the Amazonia, that by its level of economic development. Now, the last affirmation
would be different if I had to choose a country to live. For me, the nature of
Brazil is the most diverse and beautiful in the world. Regards!

Freddie Mercury
Born as
Farrok Bulsara, Freddie Mercury was born in Tanzania; he was an English singer and
musician, the principal vocalist of the band Queen. He was recognized for his
powerful voice and extravagant staging, his most important concert was Live Aid
in 1985, during which everybody in the concert applauded and sang in unison.
Freddie had two great loves in his life, the first was Mary Austin, and the
second was Jim Hutton. As a composer, he wrote many songs of the band, such as:
Killer queen, Bohemian Rhapsody, somebody to love or don’t stop me now, in addition
in his solo era, he wrote songs such as: Mr. Bad guy or Living on my own.
Freddie Mercury’s voice and personality on stage made the band fill stadiums.
Queen arrived at the Olympus of rock music to stay. Despite being at the top,
the group also went through a delicate moment. With internal disagreements,
there were rumors that Queen may have separated in the mid-80s. According to
his partner, Jim Hutton, Mercury knew that he had AIDS in 1987, but denied it
to the press for a long time. However, his last years were marked by rumors
about his sexual orientation and his disease. Finally, Mercury died from a bronchopneumonia
complicated by AIDS. I feel that his songs are very innovative and creatives,
managing to use the best of each music style. Regards!

My future job
Hi everyone! In the future I’m going a tourist
guide somewhere of a lot of nature and I hope to do extreme sports to teach
people. Among the activities I plan to do are rafting, excursions to mountains
and volcanoes, climbing, among other things, but always in harmony and respect
towards nature. I would like to do this job because I enjoy teaching people
about the weather and nature, in addition I enjoy being in nature and doing
activities in it. To do this job I would need to learn about ecotourism, about
native plants and extreme sports, in addition to having a good physical
condition. From this work I hope to feel at peace, without stress, I also expect
an economic remuneration for each person I lead in nature. I feel that this is
a satisfaction in itself, to be able to enjoy the places that you like most, talking
about what you like and also that they pay you for that. While my current
career doesn’t relate much to this work that I just described (in appearance),
I think that Psychology is present in any work because it is an area of
knowledge about the human and his relationships, in that case always we work
with humans, psychology will be present. Best regards, Enrique.

Post graduates studies
Hi
everyone! I started studying Psychology at University of Chile four years ago
and before I studied twelve years in the school, for this reasons I can´t
imagine studying in a post graduate program. I feel that I have been studying
in a formal education institution for much of my life, but I think that the
humans never stop learning, even don’t participating in an educational
institution. Once I graduated from University I believe that I would like
learning above theater and circus in self-managed workshops. I try don’t to think
so much about the future, because I think everything ends up changing, in addition,
my experience tells me that improvised plans are better. I am really tired of
formal education with its empty grades of content and its power games. I feel
that popular education organizations are very aware of the discomfort that
exists in formal education. I prefer to stay in Latin America doing circus,
theater or clown workshops, because I believe that in Europe (where everybody
wants to go) the essence of what art means to me is lost, since for me the art
is a method of resistance to power and generally, art in Europe is very
directed towards the classics, such as, Shakespeare, García Lorca or Dante
Alighieri, don’t questioning the structure of society. Best regards, Enrique.

My favorite movie
Hi everyone!
In this blog I speak about my favorite movie. I believe that the best movie of
the history is Fight club, directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt,
Edward Norton and Helena Bonham. It is based on the 1996 novel of the same name.
In this movie, Edward Norton (the narrator), who is tired with his life,
decides to form a fight club with his friend Brad Pitt (Tyler Durden). Edward
Norton soon begins falling in love with Marla (Helena Bonham), whom he met I different
group therapy. The first time I saw this movie in my house with my mother and
father when I had eleven years old, and I really like the plot, I remember thinking
about what happens in the end for days. In addition to the entertaining plot
the film has a very important social criticism of the capitalist system. It is
a criticism that the appearance of things is what defines the essence of each
person, it is a movie about how we define ourselves by the type of table we
buy, the type of cellphone we use. I reflected a lot with that movie and I’ve seen
it three times. Best regards, Enrique.

My favorite sport
Hi everyone, I practice many sports, but my favorite
sport is swimming. I practice this sport three days for week, generally since
eighteen o'clock to twenty o'clock. I start practice this sport two years ago,
in the sports center of Juan Gómez Milla I enter to level one, now I am in the
level three and are four levels in total. I have ten team mates for level, they
are very likeable, and there is a lot of support between us. I like this sport
because relaxes you and is very funny for me, especially when we compete. There
are four types of swimming, the first and more basic is crawl (this type of
swimming is my favorite), the second type is backstroke (for me is very tiring),
the third form of swimming is breast and this is very funny because you can breathe
the whole time, the fourth type of swimming is butterfly, this is the most difficult
and tiring. In the future I plan continue with swimming, but I don’t know where
I continue, because the sports center is exclusive for students and I will go
out next year of university. I suppose that an uncertain future awaits me in
relation with swimming. Best regards, Enrique.

Post 8: A subject you enjoy studying this semester
Hi everyone! This semester my favorite subject at the University is "Work and social exclusion". The time of this subject is every Thursday since half past two until six in the office 411 of the Department of Psychology. In the class, we sit in a circle with the teacher Gloria Zavala and comments news of the last week connecting the theory with the different news, generally, we talk a lot about of national contingency and our exclusion experiences in the present neoliberal system. Every class is a complete discover about the market work in Chile and their consequences in the mental health of different persons. The main contents that we have seen in this subject are low labor costs, labor relaxation and subcontracting in the era of globalization. I like this subject because the teacher makes the class very funny, she cracked a lot of jokes and made everyone laugh, in addition, the contents are very interesting for me because are very presents. As well as we have a practice work that likes very much because we have an interview with a person that participates in a union space, I really wait to have more subjects like this. Best Regards, Enrique.

Post 7: An expert on your field
Hi everyone! I feel that my teachers of secundary in general are very good, but specially my teacher of Philosophy mister Delfy Sánchez shown greatness. He studies Philosophy and Psychology at the University of Valparaíso, then he starts teching classes in my school in 2010, and four years later he was my head teacher for two years, at the present he teaching class in a public school of Valparaíso. The reason I mention this particular teacher is because he teaching us about importance of express emotions with my classmates and teacher, for this activity my teacher all the class makes circles with chairs and we sitting in this circle, consequently with my classmates learn about ourseleves. In addition the relationship between us improved a lot and we joined a lot as a course. My teacher understood that it was necessary to learn to live in community. My classmates and me learned very much. To this day we comment on how much we learned with that teacher, for this reason I am very grateful. Post 5: A photograph I like
Hi everyone! This photograph was taken for David Higgins in the exact moment, David Higgins is a photographer of National Geographic who travel for Africa and Asia taken pictures about climate change. This picture show a monkey take a plastic bottle in their hands looking with attention this bottle. Was taken in january and was publish on february of this year in the magazine of National Geographic. I dont like this photo for their beauty, but for the message of this picture, this is a report and a question at the same time: we want plastic or planet? This photo represent very good the condition of the planet in this moment, we are at a crucial juncture that will determine the success or failure of this planet and this way of life. Everyday we can observe destroy in the planet for the plastics and companies that contaminate the environment with the residue of theirs business, this photo is making me question about our way of life. The message of this picture is of review and hope about the future of this beaty planet. Best regards, Enrique.

Post 4: My favorite festivity
Hi everyone! My favorite holiday is the new year of the indigenous peoples of South America, celebrated the third or fourth week of June, this holiday is celebrated because on that date is the winter solstice in the soutern hemisphere, date in which the day begins to be more long. The celebration lasts a week, in which different rites are performed (depending on the indigenous people). In general, in the indigenous peoples of South America the new year is celebrated on this date because te time begins when the day begins to be longer, so the harvest season begins. Mainly the agricultural sense of this holiday, also applies to the spirit that begins to "bloom" in this era. For this date I go to the Mapuche community that is near to my house in Quilpué, where different ceremonies are held to attract good spirits and the night from Saturday to Sunday we stay up all night awake eating sopaipillas and celebrating the new cycle that begins. I like this festivity because since I was a kid I can go and talk with many people, besides I dont like that the day is so short in the fall, I really enjoy summer. This festivity generates much more sense than others, due to the comunity that is generated among different people. Many greetings, ENrique.

Post 3: My favorite piece of technology
Hi everyone! I really dont like technology, because I prefer talk face to face with the people. In spite of this, the technological object that I use more time is my cellphone, specially to make works to university. I use my cellphone when I arrive to my house, because in the day I am with my friends in the university or doing research works, well I mostly use the cellphone to organize my university life, and communicate with my family of Quilpué. I use my cellphone two hours everyday -approximately- and I enjoy a lot chatting with my friends of Quilpué. I also use my cellphone to take pictures when I travel and send them to my friends and family. For the previous reasons I use the cellphone more time than other technological objects, but Ive also been a long time without using the cellphone and it doesnt complicate me, I can live without using my cellphone, in fact sometimes I like not to use my cellphone, especially when I am in nature. I imagine that a world without using the cellphone would allow us to relate better to our presents moments. Best regards, Enrique.

Post 2: Why did you choose your career
This story could sound very crazy, but when I was a little boy I dreamed of going to out space, for that reason I wanted to be an astronaut. When I arrived to my house I played and imagined to be in international space station, this experience was very real to me because in my room I had planets of the system solar that each night turned on the planets and stars this experience was amazing to me. Then I was interested in the theater, and with my mom attempted to improvise scene of the routine, for thtat reason my other career option at the moment of applying to university was theater at University of Valparaíso, but I like Social Sciences very much and discover that Psychology and Theater are very bounded and finally I decided to study Psychology at Universiy of Chile in Santiago. My experience in this University has been very good I feel comfortable studying at this school. I plan to work with my theater colective in different schools of South America, teaching to children emotional intelligence. Best regards, Enrique

Practice exercise
My name is Enrique and I study Psychology at the University of Chile. I like English because it is a universal language, you can communicate with a lot of countries in English. I listen to music in English every day, especially groups of 1980. I never watch movies in English because I don't understand the expressions of the language, this aspect of English is my biggest difficulty to understand the language. But I have a plan to overcome these problems with English, this plan consists in going to English class at the University every week and practice in my house every day. Regards, Enrique.
